Seychelles a perfect honeymoon destination

The Seychelles is made up of a magical cluster of 115 small islands and offer exotic escapism, luxury accommodation and jaw-dropping scenery. With everything that couples dream of in a romantic idyllic beach paradise, it no wonder that when people refer to the Seychelles they use the name “The Love Islands”.

The Seychelles are too good to be true and it’s the stuff of fairytales. With beach strolling through it’s talcum powder sands, sipping coconut juice from the shells and relaxing underneath the shade of the takamaka tree it’s also no wonder that it’s the favourite with celebrities and was voted third in the top ten sexiest honeymoon destinations.

The Seychelles also has it’s share of rain fall, but don’t let that put you off because the result is a rich, lush environment with over 1,100 types of flowers and the world’s largest colony of giant land tortoises.

Praslin is the second largest island within the Seychelles and in 2006, the Anse Georgette beach was voted the best beach in the world by the travel industry. So when sitting on a beach within the Seychelles remember that every time you see a Bounty or Bacardi advert it was probably shot on that very beach. The Seychelles offers peace and pampering within the choice of many easily accessible, yet un-spoilt islands.

If you like doing something different the Seychelles is the perfect place for “Island hopping”, with over a hundred islands to choice from the options are endless. Some of the islands within the Seychelles have tried to keep some of the islands noise free by not offering motorized sports but do offer a more luxurious time by offering pampering and exploration by the way of spas and cycle hire. From water snorkeling off the coral reefs, swimming with turtles, cycling, fishing, walking among it’s warm hearted people or hiding away from the world on one of it’s spectacular beaches - the Seychelles is bottled bliss.

The Seychelles has a population of 81,895 people and it’s capital is Victoria. The time difference between the UK and the Seychelles is GMT +4 hours, with a flight time of 10 hours to Mahé. Visas are not required for UK passport holders and the Seychelles is an all-year-round destination. It is outside the cyclone belt, but however the Trade Winds can be experienced from May to October, tropical showers can occur throughout the year. The Seychelles can be perfectly combined with a safari in Kenya.
