Real Life Honeymoon Feature - Brazil
Neil and Elizabeth Fairchild got married at the Oakwood House, Maidstone, Kent before heading off to Brazil.
WHERE?Brazil.
WHEN?
August 2009
WHY BRAZIL?
Brazil has a bit of everything - beautiful beaches, amazing landscape and a fascinating history. It's really easy to flit between lazing on a beach one day and walking round a world-famous landmark the next.
WHAT DID YOU DO?
Buzios - the most extravagant part of the honeymoon but totally worth it. We relaxed on the beautiful beaches and in our elegant master suite during the day and ate at the amazing restaurants in the evening; Rio - visited the Christ of the Redeemer Statue, Sugarloaf Mountain and the Maracana Stadium. Hung out on Ipanema and Copacabana beaches drinking caprinhas and watching the brazilian kids play football and volleyball; Iguasu Falls - visited one of the most amazing sights in the world and surely the most spectacular waterfall; Morro de Sao Paolo - peaceful island off the north coast with no cars or buses. We didn't leave the site for four days as we had everything we needed within a tiny space: sea, sand and amazing food.
MOST ROMANTIC MOMENT?
Watching the sun set over the Atlantic Ocean while drinking red wine from the jacuzi on our balcony in Buzios.
IT'S GREAT FOR HONEYMOONERS BECAUSE...
Allows you to do all the romantic stuff whilst still having a real adventure.
