Real Life Honeymoon Feature - Las Vegas & Hawaii

Sarah and Leigh got married on Saturday 6th June 2009, St Nicholas Church, Worth with the reception at The Ravenswood, Sharpthorne.

WHEN?

WHY?
We like to be quite active on holiday and go places where there is lots to see and do. A lot of people we spoke to said Hawaii was the most beautiful place in the world so we had to see if they were right.

WHAT DID YOU DO?
The first 4 days we started out in the bright lights of Vegas at the Bellagio, gambling, shopping and visiting the Grand Canyon which was one of our favourite trips. We took a helicopter to the base of the Canyon and a boat ride along the Colorado River it was breathtaking. We then flew onto Oahu in Hawaii staying at the Hilton Hawaiian Village on Waikiki Beach. This is the most beautiful place in the world with it's breathtaking scenery, friendly people and all it's history. We spent our days surfing, exploring the beautiful Island, watching the turtles basking on the beach. We had a great evening at a Luau, visited Pearl Harbour and enjoyed the fireworks from our balcony drinking champagne.

MOST ROMANTIC MOMENT?
Has to be watching the sun set over Diamond Head on a romantic dinner cruise.

IT’S GREAT FOR HONEYMOONERS BECAUSE…
There is a real variety of things to do, the Island is gorgeous and there is so much to see. You can hire a car and just go out and explore. The people are the nicest we have ever met and they make you feel really welcome and special as honeymooners.

We have a beautiful house already filled with lots of lovely things so we thought this would be a nice way for our guests to get us something that we would really enjoy and get full use of. I have already recommended it to my sister Nicky and her Fiancé Paul who are getting married next year.
