This new chic hotel opens in December 2005 and forms part of the Mayakoba resort development boasting pristine beaches, lush forest, Mayan ruins and premier diving.

Created to harmonize with the unspoiled tropical forest, the Fairmont Mayakoba's various areas are connected by a series of deep lagoons enabling easy movement from place to place throughout the resort development, which includes four other hotels, using complimentary canal boat service, as well as a network of well-marked nature trails, electric golf carts and bicycles.

This is an ecological resort with an excellent range of facilities for adults and children alike.

Location:
Approximately 40 minutes south of Cancun International Airport near the town of Playa del Carmen, on the Tulum corridor in the province of Quintana Roo.

Accommodation:
401 rooms including 34 suites located in clusters throughout the property in 90 two-storey Casitas. Room categories range from generously sized Casita rooms to lagoon view rooms and exclusive beachfront Villas.

The décor mirrors that of a gracious Mexican home where luxury amenities include comfortable Fairmont beds, expansive bathrooms and large sliding doors that open onto a balcony or terrace.

All rooms offer a king or two queen beds, 24-hour concierge service, TV, CD/DVD player, air-conditioning and ceiling fans.

Facilities:
There are 7 bars and 4 exceptional restaurants available including Las Brisas main restaurant and lounge bar and the charming El Puerto restaurant.

There are 5 pools including 2 infinity pools (one adults only) and kids have their own pool and activity area on its own island. There are 8 tennis courts and the 18-hole, par-72 El Camaleòn Greg Norman designed championship golf course.
