In a nutshell:
This is a delightful, truly tropical island resort for would-be castaways with a penchant for rustic but comfortable accommodation, excellent cuisine and congenial company.

Young Island is a good base from which to explore nearby St Vincent – one of the Caribbean’s undiscovered islands of breathtaking natural beauty – or simply to relax in this island hideaway.

Experienced and confident snorkellers might be lucky enough to see one of the resident seahorses close to the resort’s northern coastline.

Location:
200 yards off-shore from St Vincent (an inter-island flight from Barbados to St Vincent followed by a short drive to pick up the hotel launch across to Young Island, 10 minutes away).

Special information:
Guests with walking difficulties are advised to choose accommodation closer to the beach.

Guests staying 7 nights or more may enjoy up to 4 nights sailing through the Grenadines aboard the hotel's 44ft yacht crewed by a skipper and a cook

Accommodation:
30 superior and deluxe rooms or luxury Inwood-framed cottages with ceiling fan and terrace.

Superior Cottages are at beach level or on the lower slopes of the hillside, Deluxe Cottages are further up the hill and the most spacious Luxury Cottages are either on the hilltop with truly spectacular views from their huge verandahs or located by the beach with a private plunge pool.

Most of the ensuite bathrooms have an open air shower.

Facilities:
There is a delightful bar and restaurant with excellent cuisine and private gazebos for each couple or family - breads are a speciality with up to 6 different loaves freshly baked each day and offered with dinner.

There is also a pool, non-motorised watersports, scuba diving (with the excellent Dive St Vincent) and tennis.

The new Spa Kalina sits amongst the tropical foliage on the hillside and offers a selection of pampering treatments.

For guests staying for a minimum of 7 nights, prices include all meals, airport taxi and ferry transfers, welcome drink, fresh fruit and flowers in your room daily, complimentary tennis and watersports including sunfish sailing, snorkelling equipment and windsurfing.
