Background:
Meerufenfushi has been a popular resort with the British market for many years offering a good range of accommodation and excellent facilities at affordable prices. It is a large sand-between-the-toes island with a great atmosphere, great facilities and highly recommended for both honeymooners and families looking for fun holidays. The island has recently benefited from a massive refurbishment/expansion programme. Its new Jacuzzi Water Villas are amongst the best available in the Maldives.

Beach/Lagoon:
With a large lagoon surrounding Meeru, the reef edge is too far to reach from the shore meaning that snorkelling from the beach is disappointing for all but novices. To compensate for this the resort provides a shuttle boat to the reef edge every half-hour. There are also half-day excursions every other day for those wanting better snorkelling. Although the beaches are generally good, there are limited numbers of nooks and crannies offering total privacy when the resort is at full capacity.

Accommodation:
Land Villas: The Land Villas are located close to the beach, are more spacious than the Standard rooms and offer individual wooden bungalows most with views of the lagoon. They also feature an open-air bathroom and private patio area. Excellent value for money.
Jacuzzi Land Villas: The Jacuzzi Land Villas are Land Villas with a private, walled-in outdoor area featuring a Jacuzzi for two, a wooden sundeck with chaise lounges, a sitting area and a partially open-air bathroom. All are newly refurnished and with a four poster bed, CD player and cable TV.
Water Villas: The Water Villas are located at the water's edge, with private sundeck, a ladder into the sea, spectacular view of the lagoon, a luxurious large bedroom, sitting area, partially open-air bathroom. All are newly refurnished with a four poster bed, CD player and cable TV. Good value for money water villa.
Jacuzzi Water Villas: The Jacuzzi Water Villas are located over the water in the lagoon, a short walk along a private jetty to your secluded hideaway featuring large bedroom, a sitting area with DVD player, Cable TV and tea/coffee/espresso machine, spacious stylish bathroom with double sinks, a Jacuzzi for two with steps into the sea, and a private sundeck.

Entertainment:
Weekly night time programme including Bodu Beru Cultural Dance Show, DJ Disco, Divers Video, Crab Races, Live Band and Table Tennis Tournament.

Spa:
